Every guy knows that sometimes you get an erection, and "it's a good one" or maybe its not, and you feel let down, or maybe your partner feels let down, or worries that you're not aroused enough by them. I think this should be addressed simply, and I'm not going to get into too much science or stats like I sometimes do, and just speak off the cuff in my personal experience
The size of your erection varies every single time. Your penis size fluctuates constantly and it depends on many factors. You will never get the same measurement twice (scientifically speaking).
There are multiple factors that go into your erection size, such as: temperature of the room, state of your arousal, your stress level, your health level, circulation, mental state, air pressure (try getting a boner on a commercial airplane and you know what I mean) and the list goes on and on.
In my experience, sometimes I've had erections I wish I could photograph, and frame and mount to my wall, and sometimes I'm literally stunned and I say "really? that's it today?" (yes I'm totally putting myself out there) but guys, I'm here to tell you that this is normal. Not only normal, but something to be understanding of, and not worry about.
In an earlier post I gave the length of my penis as 8.1 inches, and later posted a photo where I'm holding a ruler and I'm over 8.5 inches. After going through some photos, I found a representation that proves in my opinion that my original 8.1 inch measurement was a safe base size to claim.

As you can see, I fluctuated here by nearly an inch. That's a pretty big difference to be honest. And I'm certain (as one particular ex once told me) that I've hit nine inches more than once, and sometimes when I'm not 100% into it I'm probably seven inches, possibly less.
The penis is a spongy like object and the body is not a machine, it fluctuates as does anything in nature.
