Female Personality Traits Linked With Ability To Orgasm

I'm extremely fascinated with the female orgasm. I enjoy reading about it, doing research, understanding diagrams, and then taking what I have learned, and practicing it in the bedroom.

The famous Kinsey Institute For Research In Sex Gender and Reproduction, in Bloomington, Indiana has released a study where they questioned 2,632 heterosexual women in order to find out if there are certain personality variations, or other conditions that have a strong effect on a woman's ability to orgasm. The results are very interesting to me.

"As many as 20–30% of women report an inability to orgasm during sexual intercourse. Some female sexual problems have been reported to cluster with psychological and social problems. Underlying personality type
may play a role in the development or maintenance of such problems"

What this study found is that there are specific personality subtypes that appear to be significant risk factors for orgasmic infrequency.

Here are the top personality traits in women who have orgasmic infrequency:
- Introversion
- Emotional instability
- Not being open to new experience

Here are other top factors that are significantly associated with orgasmic infrequency:
- Not being married
- Childlessness
- Childhood history of sexual abuse

They also found that other factors that are commonly associated with poor health and psychological conditions, were NOT associated with orgasmic frequency.
- Increasing age
- High body mass index
- Depression
- Smoking

Also, her number of sexual partners was also not found to be associated with coital orgasmic frequency.

"It has been reported that couples with an an orgasmic female partner report more troubled communication about sexual matters than control couples with a female partner who is able to orgasm"

Which to me is a silly thing to say because yea, if I was with a woman who couldn't communicate about sexual things, it would be a lot harder to figure out what she likes.

"These new findings highlight the need for further basic research into female sexual function so that fundamental principles governing female sexuality can be understood, and applied clinically"

It's cool to see that there are good people working on this stuff, who are trying to make the world a better place, one orgasm at a time.
